Caribbean Airlines carries nearly 67,000 passengers on Trinidad-Tobago airbridge in July

Trinidad and Tobago: Caribbean Airlines have successfully met the increased demand for domestic travel during the peak holiday season by carrying a total of 66,814 passengers between Trinidad and Tobago in the month of July.

Through a media release on Thursday, August 6, the airline noted that it introduced additional flights as a part of its enhanced summer schedule that included additional flights and increased seating capacity to accommodate the seasonal influx of travellers.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Varma Khillawan described the domestic airbridge as a vital link between Trinidad and Tobago, and noted that the airline remains committed to providing safe, reliable and dependable service, particularly during the busy summer period when demand for travel to Tobago is at its highest.

The domestic airbridge is a vital economic and social lifeline connecting the people of Trinidad and Tobago. Caribbean Airlines recognises its importance to the economy of Tobago, particularly during the peak summer travel season and we remain fully committed to providing a safe, reliable and dependable service for our customers, Khillawan said.

According to the airline, the expanded flight schedule has significantly supported and increased travel by families, business travellers, residents and visitors throughout July, while also contributing to Tobago's tourism sector and broader economic activity.

The Caribbean Airlines noted that it continues to monitor passenger demand and operational performance throughout the peak travel season and the adjustments would be made where necessary to maintain the service reliability and improve customer convenience.

The carrier mentioned that maintaining a dependable domestic schedule remains a priority as the demand fluctuates during the summer months.
