Caribbean Airlines to end direct Trinidad-Tobago-Barbados flights from September 2

Trinidad and Tobago: Caribbean Airlines has officially announced on Tuesday, August 25, that it is discontinuing its direct Trinidad/Tobago-Barbados return flight service from September 2, 2026.

The airline officials noted that the flights, registered BW212 and BW213, operating the Trinidad, Tobago and Barbados route, will no longer be operating as a direct service from the listed date.

Caribbean Airlines mentioned that this move forms a part of its ongoing effort to optimise its regional network and to align the flight schedule according to the customer demand.

However, multiple other travel options will remain available as the passengers will have access to the connectivity across the three destinations.

The airline noted that the passengers who already hold bookings on the listed flight services will get re-accommodated on the alternative Caribbean Airlines flights available on the same day. The affected passengers will be contacted directly by the airline to provide details for their revised travel arrangements.

Through a media release, Caribbean Airlines reported, “Caribbean Airlines advises that effective September 2, 2026, the direct routing of its BW212 and BW213, Trinidad/Tobago/Barbados return services, will be discontinued, as part of on-going schedule optimization across its regional network.”

The airline’s officials have urged the customers to make sure that the contact information related with their bookings is accurate and up to date so that they can receive important notifications about the changes in their travel plans.

The airline said the customers with affected reservations don’t need to make the arrangements independently right now, as Caribbean Airlines will officially contact them regarding the rearrangements and replacement flights.
