Team Solistic Marine wins US$10,000 as Dominica Poker Run 2026 concludes in grand style

Dominica's Poker Run, known as one of the island's premier boating events, launched its fourth edition on Sunday, July 26, 2026, with a grand prize pot worth up to US$10,000.

It is one of the island's biggest marine events, and this year the stakes were even higher. Boat owners and enthusiasts set sail for the event. Jael Joseph led the marketing and promotion efforts for this year's staging of the event.

Team Solistic Marine claimed the ultimate victory at Dominica Poker Run 2026.

The route began at Le Village Beach Club in Canefield, with the first stop shared between Le Village Beach Club, Rock-a-way Beach and Canefield. Boats then continued to Mero Beach for the second stop, followed by an offshore party dubbed "The Ultimate Raft Up."

The third stop took in Sea Bird Bar and Grill, Purple Turtle Beach and Lagoon in Portsmouth, while the fourth stop was held at Bellhall Beach Spot and Tane-Tane.

The run finished at The Almond Deck in Toucarie Village, billed as this year's "Poker City."

The Poker Run typically sees participants board vessels and set out along a designated route, drawing a playing card at each stop, with the best five-card hand at the end of the run claiming the cash prize.

This year's edition introduced two ways to play. The Individual Challenge allowed participants to gather a team and register a boat to compete for the US$10,000 grand prize, while the newly introduced Corporate Challenge invited companies, organisations and corporate teams to enter and represent their brand for a chance to win a US$5,000 corporate grand prize.
