UNC stands firm on apology demand from Natalee Legore
As soon as the United National Congress (UNC) pressed Natalee Lagore for an apology, it provoked a flurry among people across Trinidad and Tobago.

“UNC's call for Natalee Lagore to apologize for her baseless, inappropriate and objectionable remarks has provoked a senseless flurry,” said UNC officials.
“A nexus between PNM and Lagore - and perhaps his CNC3 Morning Brew program - is now exposed.”
Further, it stated that to be clear, PM Rowley and his PNM are not defending free speech. Instead, they act as if they are fiercely defending a person of their own, who shamelessly and repeatedly advances their nefarious political agenda. Indeed, PNM and Dr Keith Rowley belong to wrongdoing, not independent expression.
“PM Rowley's followers saw nothing wrong and followed a pattern set by him to call Legore not to apologize: PM Rowley saw nothing wrong, and his National Security Minister and Attorney General did not apologize to his cabinet 97 times. PM Rowley sees nothing wrong and has not apologized for gutting the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act. PM Rowley saw nothing wrong and never apologized for shutting down Petrotrin, putting thousands on the breadline. PM Rowley saw nothing wrong and didn’t apologize for her daughter (who lives in the US) and her husband (an American citizen) getting a special discount for fetes and galleries with their foreign friends for Christmas, while The citizens of Trinidad and Tobago have been heartily locked outside our borders,” UNC alleged. His pattern is clear. They play "wrong and strong" and then throw more mud. We will not be harmed in any way, UNC added.
A spokesperson said that as it stands, UNC was unceremoniously attacked with inappropriate and inflammatory statements by the host of the CNC3 Morning Show. The matter remains unresolved until UNC receives an apology.“Today, we issue an official complaint to the Telecom Authority of Trinidad and Tobago and the owners and management of CNC3. We insist on an amnesty, failing which the party and hundreds of thousands of its members will decide on the appropriate response.”
