4 dead, 15 hospitalised after inhaling toxic gases coming out of vegetable container in Karachi

At least four people passed on, and 15 hospitalised after breathing in dangerous gases radiating from a vegetable holder in Pakistan's port city Karachi, police said.

The compartment was emptied from a freight transport in Kemari port territory on Sunday night.

"The underlying examination indicated that when individuals from Jackson showcase opened the compartment exhaust radiated from it and individuals experienced issues in breathing and lost cognisance," DIG Sharjeel Kharal told correspondents.

"They were taken to a close by the private medical clinic where four individuals kicked the bucket while 15 are under treatment," Kharal said.

He said police have looked for subtleties of the payload transport from the port specialists and the Pakistani naval force.
