St. Kitts and Nevis: First Lady Diani Jimesha Prince Drew donated several items to three pre-schools on Wednesday on behalf of his husband, Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew. The donation was made in recognition and celebration of Child Month 2024. She said that his husband who is the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis has long been committed to the wholistic development of children which can be seen even now through the launch of various comprehensive policies. “I’m happy to be able to continue his philanthropic work,” added Diani Prince. According to her, the donations included new toilets, doors and a new stove for the Louisa Grant Pre-School in Conaree while while Vera’s Day Care in Cayon and the Victoria Road Pre-School in Basseterre received several standing and wall-mounted fans.

She felt especially happy to surprise Vera’s Day Care as she promised them she would be back when she visited back in April.

While expressing the kind motive of Prime Minister Drew behind this initiative, Diani Prince outlined, “We hope that these items will assist in creating an even more comfortable environment for both the children and teachers, and will help to encourage and enhance learning, creativity and the overall development of these intelligent little ones.” She also took to Facebook to share glimpses of her visit to the schools, which showed little children hugging and thanking her for the kind gesture. Meanwhile, the citizens and residents also lauded her for this kind gesture, and several of them took to Facebook to appreciate the good work.

“First Lady Drew, good job. You're a real people person,” wrote a user named Liddy Pinney Liburd, while another user named Dahlia Powell said, “Thank you. You came to our Federation, and you mix with the tiny ones, our children, and especially our little girls. That they too can look up knowing that hope is in God and Love Life.”
