Guyana: Guyanese Pilot, Vanessa Kelsick takes flight for Global Air of the US and recently flew into Iceland as a First Officer on an Airbus A320. Such an achievement is remarkable. Vanessa Kelsick, is originally from Linden and is an old student of the Mackenzie High School.
Highlighting her past works, she started her career at Leeward Islands Air Transport Services (LIAT) as a flight attendant and eventually went off to flight school, returning to the airline as a pilot. Following the steady growth at professional front, she worked at the position of Captain and became one of the longest-serving female pilots with the respective airline.
Considerably, her achievement marks an honor to the nation, Guyana. And, the people are celebrating such recognition that has come to the name of the country with the lead success of one of the citizens of the nation.
One of the netizens as well mentioned Linden, a place in Guyana. She added, “Linden produces great people. These guys are blessed, they have unity more than any other place in Guyana. They are outstanding, we have a mighty woman with God’s word and she is from their blessings.”
