Trinidad and Tobago: Considering the troubling ways of driving in the country, Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has announced to the public to follow the road laws. The major focus has been laid considering the ones who drive under the influence of alcohol and speeding. Such a stern warning has been extended by observing the increase in the count of motorists that were found to be exceeding the legal alcohol limit. The Police Service highlighted that such change has been introduced because an increase in certain cases of motorists involved in drunk driving has been observed which is due to the exceeded legal alcohol consumption limit. The reports have stated that over the last two days, three persons were arrested for drunk driving. And, to address such an issue, the officers have been doing great for conducting routine traffic stop and search exercises along certain areas that are-

  • Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway
Considerably, the legal blood alcohol concentration (BAC) limit in the nation, Trinidad and Tobago is 35 micrograms of alcohol to 100 milliliters of breath. And, above this limit, various of the cases have come forward which detected the exceeded limit of alcohol among motorists. Such raises the safety and security concerns among people. This year, the spike in drunk driving incidents has coincided with an increase in road traffic fatalities and the authority’s deep concern connected to it. “The TTPS is deeply concerned about the safety of all road users and will be intensifying its efforts to curb these preventable deaths,” mentioned Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. The warning by TTPS against drunk driving would surely make a great change in the situations of the country where such a warning would add a sense of fear among the people. These warnings are extended for all motorists to strictly adhere to the road laws.
