Trinidad and Tobago reports successful completion of Disney Cruise Line Recruitment Drive
It said that it is pleased with the growing interest of international cruise liners in the recruitment of Trinidad and Tobago nationals.

Trinidad and Tobago: The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts was delighted to report the successful completion of the recent Disney Cruise Line Recruitment Drive in Trinidad and Tobago. It said over 90% of applicants interviewed during the two day drive will be receiving letters of intent from the cruise company.
It said that it is pleased with the growing interest of international cruise liners in the recruitment of Trinidad and Tobago nationals.
The recent drive was held at Queen’s Hall, Port of Spain on May 15 and 16, 2024 in support with the Ministry through the provision of the event venue, logistical arrangements and corporate communications services.
According to the information, the local Meridian Recruitment Agency Limited successfully shortlisted applicants to fill vacancies in the areas of Guest Services, Food and Beverage, Galley Jobs, Culinary and Lifeguards.
The Ministry advertised these positions in the local newspapers and through social media for a period of two weeks following which 80 applicants were selected to be interviewed for the in-person interview conducted by Disney Cruise Line recruiters.
Minister of Tourism, Randall Mitchell announced the development and said that his team is delighted over the fact that the recruitment drive was successful. He added that initiatives like these give the people the chance to showcase their culture, individual skills and to earn foreign exchange in the international marketplace.
Minister Mitchell also congratulated all the successful applicants and wished them well on their new journeys. He also thanked Disney Cruise Line and the Meridian Recruitment Agency Limited for facilitating professional development opportunities for the citizens.
He also highlighted that this initiative would not have been possible without continuous dialogue between relevant stakeholders within the Industry of Cruise Line. He also said that the Ministry is dedicated to build collaborations with the local and international stakeholders so that opportunities are made for the benefit of Trinidad and Tobago.
