Saint Lucia all set to celebrate whitsuntide weekend with Football tournaments

Saint Lucia: The Whitsuntide weekend in Saint Lucia will start with the Saint Lucia International Masters Football Invitational on May 16, 2024 at Dennery Playing Field, and will end on May 20, 2024.“Come join the fun and witness Gros Islet Veterans defend their two-time title against domestic and visiting football teams,” mentioned Saint Lucia Tourism Authority.Considerably, Saint Lucia Tourism Authority is the partner with this event who will welcome players and supporters to the destination. With this, the spirit of sportsmanship will take a special stand. The schedule for 4 tournaments have been revealed by the tourism ministry. These will be under two categories that are Tournament Fixtures 50+ and Tournament Fixtures 40+, further these are categorized into two each.Tournament Fixtures 50+

• Dennery United FC vs Labowi Connexions
• Gros Islet Legends vs Caricom Masters

Tournament Fixtures 40+

• Mon Repos Sharks vs V Fort North/ DX United
• Micoud Falcons vs Vieux Fort South

All the four tournaments will take place on Thursday (May 16). Significantly, Witsuntide is the week including Whit Sunday. And, this falls on 7th Sunday after Easter commemorates the descent of the holy spirit upon Christ’s disciples.
