Dominica: Tourism Minister meets WINAIR officials, discusses air travel enhancement
During their stay in the Nature Isle, the WINAIR team explored the various wonders of the island including Trafalgar Falls, Fresh Water Lake and the therapeutic Sulphur Springs.

Dominica: Minister of Tourism Denise Charles-Pemberton held a significant meeting with the Operations Manager of WINAIR, Dhanash Ramdath. The meeting aimed at discussing the expansion of air travel to and from Dominica.
While sharing the glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook account, the Tourism Ministry noted, “A significant meeting took place in Dominica with the Honourable Denise Charles-Pemberton, Minister for Tourism, Mr. Hans van de Velde, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Dhanash Ramdath, Operations Manager, of WINAIR and the Air access committee.”
It further added that they discussed enhancing air travel to and from the island while they build on the partnership made during the recent Routes Americas Conference.
During their stay in the Nature Isle, the WINAIR team explored the various wonders of the island including Trafalgar Falls, Fresh Water Lake and the therapeutic Sulphur Springs.
They also visited the Kalinago Territory to explore the culture over there, took an enlightening tour of the Indian River and enjoy thrilled water sport activities at Soufriere such as kayaking, diving and snorkelling.
It is to be noted that the discussions revolved around WINAIR’s vision for the region, Dominica’s aviation aspirations as well as opportunities for increased collaborations such as new routes and more direct flights.
The airline has always shown its utmost dedication and commitment towards Dominica by partnering with it on various occasions. Recently, the magazine also featured President of Dominica Sylvanie Burton in its magazine, showing their love for the island nation and its people.
It also collaborated with Discover Dominica to offer one lucky winner an all inclusive getaway to the Jazz n Creole Festival 2024. At that time also, Minister Charles commended WINAIR for showing their trust to the island and offering attractive fares for Jazz n Creole this year.
Meanwhile, such meetings also boost collaborations and allows both the parties to talk about common issues and find solutions to them while fostering partnership and building relations.
