Luxurious superyacht marina project in Bahamas set to open in 2027 (Planned structure of the marine)
Bahamas: The developers of the 150-ship superyacht marina project in South Abaco are expecting to complete its construction and inaugurate in early 2027. According to the reports, the CEO of the project, Ra’anan Ronnie Ben-Zur is spearheading the development’s construction. The project anticipates integrating 30% solar power to meet energy demands while storage systems to capture rainwater will supply all potable water needs. The capturing of rainwater aligns with developer’s vision of freshwater conservation from inception to operation.

The development strives to establish its marina as an international benchmark in environmental sustainability while striving for La Belle Classe Destination classification and Blue Flag Standards.

[caption id="attachment_72099" align="aligncenter" width="1028"] Proposed plan of the marina[/caption] The marina is being recognised as a model of convenience and efficiency as it boasts 150 slips ranging from 18 meters to over 200 meters along wit in-slip utilities, customs and immigration service, diesel refuelling, a comprehensive provisioning center as well as 200 unit dry stack facility.

It is to be noted that the marina will be designed in a way that it can withstand severe weather events and consists of a 110-acre basin which is placed strategically on the island’s leeward side and is fortified by a substantial breakwater in order to ensure year-round tranquillity and accessibility.

Reportedly, the marina will feature luxurious amenities which will include a 25,000 square feet members-only yacht club, a nightclub as well as a casino all of which are envisioned by Zaha Hadid Architects.

Habacoa’s developers have chosen Zaha Hadid Architects to design both the Yatch Club as well as Nighclub and Casino.

The development strives to become North America’s largest and most comprehensive marina and is schedule for completion in 2027. Also, a head of agreement for this project was signed earlier in 2020.

The developers have also unveiled designs for the new superyacht marina in the Bahamas. Integrating sustainable design technologies along with environmentally responsible materials as well as renewable energy generation, the Habacoa’s architecture will seamlessly connect with the natural environment of the island.
