Disney Lookout Cay official opens doors in Eleuthera, Bahamas

Bahamas: The Disney Cruise Lines team is celebrating the official opening of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in the Bahamas. The team hosted Bahamian officials and community members to commemorate the opening of its new island destination located in Eleuthera.

In just a few days, Disney's Lookout Cay will be welcoming thousands of visitors. The destination reflects on the ongoing partnership between Disney and artists of the Bahamas, as well as historians and cultural experts.

Disney aims to immerse passengers in the culture and spirit of the island through architecture, artistry, experiences and entertainment performed by local talent, beaches and nature trails. It is to be noted that on Thursday, Disney executives, alongside government officials travelled to the site for the unveiling of the much-anticipated project as it promises to reshape the landscape of Eleuthera with its blend of luxury accommodations and immersive attractions. According to the information, the resort is poised to become a premier tourist hot spot for travelers looking for a unique and unforgettable experience.

Prime Minister Philip Davis, while sharing his brief remarks during the grand opening ceremony of the Disney Lookout Cay, anticipated the economic success of the multi-million dollar project and said that the company will seek to employ over 200 Bahamians.

"Today, we shine a little brighter as we prepare to bring new opportunities, new businesses, and new visitors to Lutheran's stunning shores. Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is a perfect example of what happens when vision, passion, and collaboration come together," said the Prime Minister.

He also noted that this project is a testament to the power of partnership, and Disney Cruise Line's Disney Lookout Quay at Lighthouse Point will open with an all-Bahamian leadership team and will create nearly 200 high-quality roles for Bahamians.

In fact, the development has already created hundreds of construction-related roles for Bahamians. The project has been in the works for some seven years, and senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Lines said that the journey has been exciting, bringing the Disney brand to Eleuthera.

It is to be noted that one of the island's standout features is the Mabrika Cove Cabanas, which is designed by Bahamian artists to offer visitors a vibrant and relaxing haven that is set against powdery white sands as well as crystal clear waters. These luxurious cabanas mirror the lively architecture along with warm hospitality that await people at every turn.

Also, food enthusiasts can indulge in mouthwatering dishes being provided by True-True Too BBQ. This venue serves up delightful Bahamian fare under shell inspired pavilion which will offer sweeping ocean views while visitors savour authentic island flavours.
