Antigua and Barbuda look forward to welcome cricket fans for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup

Antigua and Barbuda is all set to host eight thrilling matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, taking place from June 1 to 29, 2024. The famous Sir Vivian Richard Stadium in Antigua will play host to the matches, with both England and Scotland scheduled to play in the island nation.

The twin island nation is looking forward to welcome cricket fans and their families for this thrilling international sporting event. Minister of Tourism of Antigua and Barbuda, Charles Fernandez noted that this is an incredible chance to showcase the island nation to the world.

He added that the development will also boost the economy as visitors will explore the country, stay in the hotels while indulging in everything local.

The complete list of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Fixtures being held in Antigua are as follows:

June 9 – Oman vs ScotlandJune 11 – Australia vs NamibiaJune 13 – England vs OmanJune 15 – Namibia vs EnglandJune 19 – A2 vs D1June 20 – B2 vs D2June 22 – A1 vs D2June 23 – C2 vs D1

Notably, the international cricket tournament is not the only huge event being hosted in Antigua and Barbuda as people can also look forward to be part of the upcoming Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL24) from August 28 to October 6.

This tournament will be held across the Caribbean, with key matches scheduled to be held in Antigua. Also, the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium will act as the new home for the newest franchise named ‘Antigua & Barbuda Falcons’ as they will prepare to compete in CPL24.

On the other hand, the England’s Men’s Cricket will also tour the West Indies for a white ball series, with matches across the Caribbean including Antigua anticipated to be announced in Spring.
