St. Kitts and Nevis' Sugar Mas Carnival ranks #3 in Caribbean
The entertainment news platform Jab Jab Official has ranked Trinidad and Tobago Carnival at the top, followed by Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, and Dominica at the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th positions, respectively.

While announcing the development on his official Facebook account, Minister of Culture Samal Duggins said that he felt ‘ecstatic’ over the development. He further noted that this prestigious recognition speaks volumes about the creativity, vibrancy, and cultural richness that make Sugar Mas an unparalleled and unique experience.
The Minister continued to say that being ranked in the top three is a remarkable achievement and reflects the hardwork and dedication of everyone who are involved in making the carnival a spectacular success year after year.
It is to be noted that the Sugar Mas is a celebration of the heritage, community and unyielding spirit of the locals of the twin island nation.
“If this isn’t enough of a sign that “there’s only one place to be - Sugar Mas 53,” then I don’t know what is,” outlined Samal Duggins. Not only this but the tourism and culture officials are also set to release the Sugar Mas 53 Calendar of Events and other details about this year’s edition of the carnival on June 17 at 10 am.The officials are anticipating this year’s carnival to be bigger and bolder than the last one. The exciting festival, which takes place for over a month, comprising of several fringe activities which lead up to the main carnival, is held annually and brings a number of visitors to the island.
It is the perfect time for the tourism authorities to host such events that will showcase the rich culture and history of St. Kitts and Nevis and its people.
