SKELEC announces necessary maintenance power outage in St. Kitts, know schedule
Consumers in several communities can expect an interruption of supply between various hours as announced by SKELEC. The company also noted that the electricity supply may be interrupted later and restored earlier than the scheduled times.

St. Kitts and Nevis: As the St Kitts Electricity Co. Ltd is working continuously to improve reliability, there will be a maintenance outage for the week of June 17 to 21, 2024. These scheduled outages are necessary to perform maintenance as part of their ongoing efforts to limit the power interruptions, said the company.
Consumers in several communities can expect an interruption of supply between various hours as announced by SKELEC. The company also noted that the electricity supply may be interrupted later and restored earlier than the scheduled times.
While assuring the consumers the company said that they take every precaution to protect customer appliances from damage during outages and added, “We however, encourage our customers to safeguard their equipment and appliances at all times.”
They also apologised for any inconvenience caused due to these electricity supply interruptions and people who remain without power after the scheduled outages are asked to call 465-2013 or 600 from a mobile phone to report the outage.
Meanwhile, SKELEC expressed its gratitude to the general public for its understanding and support during this time.
The schedule for Maintenance Outages from Monday to Friday in St. Kitts is as follows:
Monday, June 17
Outage 1: 8:30 am to 9:30 am – SSMC Feeder – Flow, Ministry of Finance, NeedsMust, RLB International Airport
Outage 2: 9 am to 12 pm – Ottley’s Village
Outage 3: 9 am to 3 pm – East West Farm Housing Development
Tuesday, June 18
Outage 1: 1 am to 6 am – Cayon Feeder – Keys Village to Dieppe Bay
Outage 2: 9 am to 1 pm – St Peters to Morton Housing
Wednesday, June 19
9 am to 11 am – New Road
Thursday, June 20
9 am to 3 pm – Lime Kiln Residential and Commercial
Friday, June 21
9 am to 3 pm – Cardin Avenue
These necessary outages will ensure that the power supply is maintained across the island so that people can be safeguarded from any future interruptions in power supply.
