Royal Caribbean ship crashes into Jamaica port
A Royal Caribbean International cruise ship sustained minor damage after it hit the dock while berthing at a port in Jamaica. The ship authorities stated that the incident will not impact the ongoing sailing, citing the damage as "minimal".

The incident happened at Falmouth, Jamaica with the Harmony of the Seas.

"During her arrival in Falmouth, Jamaica, the Harmony of the Seas collided with a dock extension. There were no injuries to passengers or staff, and the ship's stern received only minor aesthetic damage. The sailing will go as planned," the Royal Caribbean International's statement added.

On Thursday, an incident happened in Grand Turk involving the Carnival Freedom at the Port Canaveral. The ship sustained fire damage during a port-of-call stop in Grand Turk earlier that day.

Carnival also cancelled a four-night Freedom cruise departing from Port Canaveral on June 2 and a five-night cruise departing from Port Canaveral on June 6 on Friday. The ship was transporting the ship to a shipyard in Grand Bahama for repairs after a fire broke out in the funnel.

The Harmony of the Seas, which belongs to the "Oasis" class, is the world's third-largest cruise ship, with a gross tonnage of 226,963 tonnes. The ship has 2,747 staterooms, a passenger capacity of 6,687, and a staff of 2,200 people.
