St Kitts and Nevis: new stimulus package offers benefits to people with disabilities

PM Harris further added that the government to continue to focus on the people, while delivering in accordance with their commitments and resources prudently managed over the past 6 years. “We will continue to put our people first,” he added while assuring people a safer future which the Team Unity had promised.
Boasting the new stimulus package, PM Harris said that it is intended in the main to stimulate the economy and to provide assistance and support to most vulnerable and people in need. As a part of it, the government would provide help to the people who are most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.He added that the people who have applied for support to households with disabilities would receive their first payout on August 6, 2021. He also emphasized that additionally, the government has approved some support to Ade’s Place, which is a private provider of services to people with disabilities.
An institution that operates from Basseterre has 26 young persons suffering with different forms of disabilities and are being trained to co-op with the world while being economically strong citizens.
