Second armed robbery in three days in Nevis

Police in Nevis are investigating another armed robbery, the second in three days.

Just before midnight on Saturday 6th April an armed and masked man held up a bar in Clay Ghaut and demanded money.

"The assailant made his escape with a sum of cash. No one was injured during the incident," a police statement said Sunday.

It Is the second armed robbery in Nevis in three days.

On Friday April 5, three armed and masked men robbed an elderly Brazziers resident of an undisclosed sum of money. Shots were fired and the victim was treated at Nevis' Alexandra Hospital and discharged.

Police said the latest robbery is under investigation and appealed to anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigation Department by dialling 469-5392 or the nearest Police Station.
