China and Trinidad and Tobago to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic ties with Film Festival

Trinidad and Tobago: The Embassy of the People's Republic of China is thrilled to announce the upcoming China Film Festival from April 12 to 14, 2024, at Movietowne, Port of Spain. This festival is being hosted in celebration of the 50th anniversary of China and Trinidad and Tobago's diplomatic relations. The three-day festival showcases a diverse collection of Chinese films.

The China Film Festival promises to offer an immersive experience into the rich and diverse world of Chinese cinema comprising of visually stunning historical epics to though provoking contemporary dramas.

The films which are selected for showcase not only highlight the artistic prowess of Chinese filmmakers but also provide a window into the historical, cultural and social themes that have shaped the nation's cinematic landscape.

Entry to the movies is free of cost and will be available on a first-come, first, first-served basis. While sharing the development, the Chinese Embassy said, "Please note that ONLY TWO (2) tickets per person per movie are allowed. Be sure to mark your calendars and secure your tickets early to ensure that you don't miss out on this extraordinary showcase of Chinese cinema."
