Jamaica police charged a St Andrew for possession of more than $3 million in cash and a quantity of cocaine.
Marvin Okar Locke, 47, a painter from Drumblair Mansion, was apprehended with the drugs and US and Jamaican dollars during an operation on Monday.
The mas has been accused of cocaine possession and trafficking, as well as illegal property possession. He will appear at the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday.
According to reports, police from the Narcotics Division raided Locke's flat. Police confiscated 4.73 oz of cocaine, J$3,750,000, and US$450 during the raid. As per authorities, the cocaine seized had a street worth of J$335,000.The man was detained a week ago. The individual, whose identity has been withheld by the police, was apprehended with the money and drugs during an operation in Drumblair, St Andrew.
Superintendent Jervis Moore, head of the Narcotics Division, told media that the cocaine measured around 134 grammes.
He stated that the police are doing more investigations in order to charge the man in jail. "There are some (other) things we're looking into," Superintendent Moore said, "but he'll be charged."
