Dominica to host Sun Rise Carnival in Feb'24

Dominica is all set to host the Sun Rise Carnival on February 9, 2024, at Windsor Park Forecourt in the Carnival City Roseau. The Carnival is a part of the National Mas Domnik 2024 and will feature some exceptional live performances by Legendary artist Asa Bantan.The most awaited Mas Domnik Carnival will commence in Dominica from January 6 to February 14, 2024.The event will be open for the general public from 11 PM to 10 AM, immersing the visitors in celebrating the nation's deep traditional and cultural heritage. It will bring visitors with diversified beliefs, thoughts, customs to interact and indulge on a common level.The official poster of the Festival was released by the Dominica Festival Committee via their official Facebook handle, called Dominica Festivals, on Friday (January 5).Further, the Carnival will bring other famous enthusiasts and young talents nationwide who will set the stage on fire, including Vincy Bad Boy and Shertz "Problem Child" James, to Dominica to headline alongside Asa Bantan. Also, the facilities, including food, beverages and other festive activities, will be provided. The entry tickets will be announced soon, and the organisers have invited people and encouraged them to stay tuned for the announcements. Meanwhile, following the release of the official poster, several community members expressed their excitement for the most awaited Carnival and presented several reactions to the social media post. A user identified as Sheba Defoe appealed to the Festival committee to release the festival soon; he mentioned, "Dominica Festivals at this point there should be NO coming soon. You’re already extremely late; your full lineup should be out with this release, including a colour theme if there’s going to be any. My goshhhhhh."While another user, C'est Moi Mbc, mentioned, "I not going to work that day. I can't see".
