SKN fully vaccinates its 58.7% population

Prime Minister of St Kitts & Nevis Timothy Harris notified that around 58.7% population have fully vaccinated in the island nation.

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts & Nevis Timothy Harris notified that around 58.7% population have fully vaccinated in the island nation.  Prime Minister further noted that the targeted population of 33,037 people of St Kitts and Nevis is assumed to be vaccinated in the coming days to complete the goal of vaccination. Also, the main aim of vaccinating the population is to obtain herd immunity of the people. In this way, the nation can move towards a normalized life and boost the economy that it needs. Notably, as per the report, 71.0% of the population listed in that category has got their 1st dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This shows that a few numbers of the people of St. Kitts & Nevis have still not got their first dose of the vaccine. The 58.7% of the population has only been fully vaccinated; those were 18,984 people in number. St. Kitts and Nevis have administered 42,837 doses, out of which Nevis got 9,830 and St Kitts got 33,007 doses of vaccines.  St Kitts and Nevis received 21,600 jabs of vaccinations from PAHO and WHO on 7 April. As per PM Harris, the new lockdown would start from Sunday, July. Along with this, the Government of SKN also imposed 24 hrs lockdown as the State of Emergency in the nation had been extended. SKN also got help from the government of India as 20,000 doses of vaccine were send to St Kitts & Nevis as help from India. Amid this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, all nations should unite and put their efforts to overcome this pandemic and again begin the businesses like that were before the pandemic and look ahead to the new developments plans for the country. St Kitts & Nevis have reported 425 cases of coronavirus with 3 deaths and out of which 98 recovered updates of 24 June 2021. St. Kitts and Nevis had currently reduced the quarantine period for travellers who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have been coming to the island.
