Vanilla Paradise Nevis celebrates early blooming of new vanilla flowers
An addition in the form of 20 vines in bloom to the Vanilla farm of Nevis, a sister island to St. Kitts speaks of the efforts and hard work done by Gina Empson. Such a bloom has added grace to the farm.

In the beginning of this month, the mini harvest of vanilla beans marked a huge milestone for the first vanilla farm. This marked a significant step taken towards the journey of sustainable and organic cultivation.
As Nevis is on its way to diversify its agriculture sector, the vanilla crop would be proven a successful one in the diversification. Considerably, Gina Empson is the first investor to grow Vanilla in Nevis. Last year in October, on this even the premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley mentioned, “As Nevis seeks to diversify the local economy and stimulate growth in the agricultural sector, some interesting developments are happening. One investor is growing vanilla, which we hope to become an export crop.” Gina Empson, as well shared the virtual look back from the 2023 where the crop is grown on a huge land. At the Vanilla Paradise, 800 indigenous tree posts have been reproduced by building three shade houses under which these would hold the precious orchids. And, the blooming of this time has offered immense beauty and peace to through the hand-pollination of delicate beauties.
