Medium Intensity Earthquake Jolts Ladakh, Epicentre in PoK
A medium-power seismic tremor estimating 5.3 hit the Union Territory of Ladakh on Sunday, authorities said.
As per the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the tremor happened at 10.54 am at a depth of 10 kilometres.
The tremor went on for a couple of moments, a representative of the Meteorological Department said.
The representative said the focal point of the quake was in Pakistan-involved Kashmir (PoK).
The tremor started alarm among the individuals who hurried out of their homes, a police official stated, including there was no quick report of any loss or harm.
