A woman banned from visiting zoo, for having a "love affair with a chimpanzee" in Belgium
Loving an animal got into huge heights in Belgium where a woman claims to have a "love affair with a Chimpanzee". As the situation got out of hand, Zoo authorities banned the female from meeting the Chimpanzee.
A zoo in Antwerp, Belgium, banned a woman from entering a zoo because she had an affair with a 35-year-old Chimpanzee. The zoo officials took the decision to prohibit her from entering because the "things" were getting "out of hand".
Officials noticed the woman had been spending a lot more time with a particular 35-year-old Chimpanzee for the past four years. The Chimpanzee named Chita and the woman used to interact from the opposite sides of the glass cage while waving and blowing kisses at each other. The zoo authorities decided to take action because the friendship was "growing", and Chita faced difficulties in keeping his relationship with fellow Chimpanzees.
"When Chita is invariably involved with visitors, the other monkeys avoid him and don't think of him as part of the group, even though that is necessary. He then lies on his own outside of visiting hours," the zoo stated.
The woman also said she is having an affair with the Chimpanzee and cannot stop meeting him.
The Chimpanzee's human lover, however, stated the zoo is being unreasonable and asked, "other dozens of visitants are permitted to make contact. Then why not me?"
