The Carnival in St. Maarten has been gracing the land for more than a week and the events for eight consecutive days are still to spread excitement in the country.

St Marteen: The Carnival in St Maarten has been gracing the land for more than a week and the events for eight consecutive days are still to spread excitement in the country. The 2024 St Maarten Carnival commenced on April 18 and will end on May 5, 2024. The upcoming events will include all the elements from musical fun to activities. Remaining week long activities are as follows:
  • April 28, 2024 (Sunday) - Family Fun Day, Cook-up and Cock-up 2024
  • April 29, 2024 (Monday) - Youth Extravaganza
  • April 30, 2024 (Tuesday) - Grand Carnival Parade
  • May 1, 2024 (Wednesday) - Labor Day Parade
  • May 2, 2024 (Thursday) - UV Neon Glow Fete
  • May 3, 2024 (Friday) - Time Live in Concert
  • May 4, 2024 (Saturday) - ll Brothers Entertainment One Love Reggae Concert 
  • May 5, 2024 (Sunday) - Closing Carnival? Burning King Momo

Highlights to the events 

Grand Parade

The Grand Parade under the carnival is must attend as it is the crown jewel of the Carnival Season. There will be decorated floats, colorful costumes, lots of feathers and bikinis, and infectious rhythms echoing through Philipsburg. The Parade will take a start on Scot Road, that will turn into Bush Rush. 

Must know info for better Carnival experience

  • On April 30 and May, there is an official public holiday. Except all banks, government offices, and most of the stores on the Dutch side will remain closed. Also, there will be only a few buses available on the road.
  • As there is a Grand Parade on April 30, roads in and out of Philipsburg will remain close from 10 am. So, in case, anyone coming from the Simpson Bay area to experience the parade, it is necessary to know that one will not get the access to Philipsburg through usual roads.
  • As there will be a hot sunny day and one will have to stand in the sun to experience the parade. So, one should be in comfortable and light clothes wearing sunglasses, hat and sunscreen.
All in all, the carnival will offer great times in the country, St Marteen, highlighting expanded tourism in the country.
