The protests in Pointe a Pierre were joined by the Leader of the Opposition Kamla Persad Bissessar.
United National Congress is gaining the support of people from around the country as the fuel prices reached new highs recently.
A social media user named Anthony Fleming wrote, "This hike in gas will hit many people very hard. Can't believe $100 in gas did not even half my tank,".
Another user named Mewalal Gajadhar wrote," So the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago that stand for right and have on yellow do not have any value so we will have to paint very tiny that we see in red amen,".
MP Ravi Ratiram also joined Councillor Dubraj Persad, Allan Taxi Seepersad, Vishan Mohammed and constituents of Couva North to stand up against the increase in fuel prices, the increasing food prices, skyrocketing cost of living and runaway crime happening across T&T.
