He stated that the upcoming elections would heavily focus on rebuilding trust, integrity, and accurate development of people."I feel very confident about the future of our country and the brighter prospects that are ahead; PAM and CCM are working together of a hope, stability and continuity," said Richards. He stated that the People's Action would announce the list of eight candidates very soon. Furthermore, Richards encouraged all PAM and CCM supporters to check the voters' list to ensure their names are registered and stated that the elections could be held in mid-June or within the first week of July. While referring to Prime Minister Timothy Harris, Shawn Richards said that he (Harris) sat next to his cabinet colleagues while raging a constant war of undermining their efforts and ministries. "We tried to have our concerns addressed to have a change in his ways, but still, he would look you into the eyes and continue his programme of undermining,". He stated that the People's Action Movement (PAM) and Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM tried two formal meetings to resolve the differences, but however Prime Minister and leader of the People's Labour Party (PLP) refused to negotiate. "We tried again with a formal letter with all grievances and to meet for the third time, but he insulted us with an eighteen-page response that again failed to address the issues," said Shawn Richards, former deputy prime minister.Author Profile
