- The applicant must be of good character, without a criminal record
- The applicant must have the means to support their other family members during their extended stay in Dominica
- The spouse or partner of the main applicant
- Main applicant's children or stepchildren under the age of 18 years
- Any other relative who is, by reason of age or any decrepitude of body or mind, wholly dependent on the applicant for his/her subsistence
