St Vincent and the Grenadines: Police Constable drowns to death at Brighton Beach
The officials in Calliaqua district have launched an investigation into the incident, which took an innocent life.

The preliminary findings suggest that Spencer was fishing at the Brighton beach with a friend around 1 pm on Sunday when a strong wave swept Spencer into the sea around 3 pm.
The victim was not able to come out of the water despite help from his friend, following which it was reported that he succumbed to the water. The St Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard was alerted by his friend immediately, who dispatched a team to conduct a thorough search and rescue operation. Despite the team’s efforts, Spencer’s body was found in an unresponsive manner, and several attempts to save him were unsuccessful.The police officer was later pronounced dead at the Coast Guard Base by medical officials. The officials have also reported that a post-mortem examination is scheduled for Monday, which will determine the exact cause of death.
However, the police suspect that the water went inside his lungs because the man did not know how to swim, which led to his death.Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Enville Williams along with Gazetted Officers and members of the RSVGPF and its Auxiliary Police Force have expressed their condolences to the ones who are grieving and are also saying that the individuals was a great man and was of great help to the police force.
The citizens and residents of the Twin Island nation are also expressing their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, and several of them are taking to Facebook to share their memories of Robin Spencer.
“I want to send out my deepest sympathy to Robin Spencer's friends and family. We will miss you. A good soul has gone best friends from sin school. Days rip, young soul,” wrote a user named Ijahman Simmons, while another user said, “Robin Spencer, I saw you at massy sometime, bro, and we always show each other love. I never knew it would have been the last time. Rest easy.”
