The World's Largest Royal Caribbean International Cruise Ship, Icon of the Seas, has launched 13 brand-new bars and menus for 2024.
Royal Caribbean Corporate Manager of beverage operations- Alexandra Palmeri[/caption]Adding that, she said, the process was methodical but quite fun. She shared how their team went to different venues across the region and the time they invested while thinking about what experiences want to be added to each menu."And then what we did afterwards was take a step back and make everything together. So every single cocktail with every single menu, all the menus created, so you look at it visually and say, okay, we really have a full variety across the entire ship," Palmer noted.Further, Palmer shared that the drink bar menus needed to balance the overall experience and surroundings they were offering to the visitors and must stand out with something different. As per her, the bar theme plays a significant role in choosing which drinks will work for that venue. She quoted this with an example that if Hideaway Bar is an outside, adults-only venue. They will need to lean more into champagne-based cocktails.Furthermore, she shared that every cocktail on that menu has some bubbles and something that's easy to drink. "You're sitting by the pool. You want to lounge all day. So low ABV really played a huge part in it," she added.Palmer revealed that the location of the guest factors into the drink menu that the Food & Beverage team develops to fit the vibe."In creating new drinks, the process is very much based on trial and error. There's a panel at Royal Caribbean headquarters that samples the new drinks, "for some of these drinks, the first time we've tried them, they were a home run," she underlined.Notably, the Royal Caribbean Icon of the Seas has set its inaugural sail for 2024 from Miami, Florida, on Thursday (January 27) for a 7-day round trip to the eastern Caribbean. The itinerary starts on January 27, 2024, and ends on February 3, 2024.[caption id="attachment_67202" align="aligncenter" width="100%"]Schedule for Icon of the Seas from January 27 to February 3, 2024:
