St Kitts and Nevis: Samal Duggins, the Minister of Creative Economy, felt grateful while reflecting on the 41st Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Teen Pageant night, filled with beauty, talent, and pure excellence. He congratulated all the participants for embodying the essence of beauty and brains.
While sharing glimpses of his visit on his official Facebook handle, he shared the experience of his interaction with the 10 Pageant contestants and their respective teams prior to the show night.
Minister Samal Duggins said, "I must say that I marvelled at their enthusiasm and dedication to embark upon such a transformational journey. These conversations gave me a deeper understanding and appreciation for what it takes to be a beauty queen."
Further, he also took a moment to extend his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the crown and title winner, Takyla Hart Johnson, an esteemed representative of St Kitts and Nevis. "You truly showcased the bright star you are! We are bursting with pride," Minister Duggins further noted.
Furthermore, he recognized the runners-up performances of the pageant and congratulated them for gracing the stage with their presence.
"First Runner Up, Shiloh Williams from Dutch St. Maarten, and Second Runner Up, Akilah Fredericks from Guyana, you epitomized grace and poise and represented your countries well! Well done," he further added.
At last, while extending his gratitude and thanking everyone, he asserted, "To every team member who contributed to the success of the 41st Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant, I thank you! Your dedication and hard work truly shone through."
Notably, Beauty Pageant holder Takyla Hart Johnson captured the 41st Miss Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Teen Pageant title on December 30, 2023, at Marriott Resort Ballroom, Frigate Bay in St Kitts and Nevis from 8 PM.
Miss Barbados, Shontae Allayne Clarke captured the title of Best Theatrical Wear and Guyana Queen Fredericks was crowned with Best in Evening Gown.
Minister Duggins, the creative economy minister, was delighted with the successful venture of the pageant, which perfectly blended and represented the deep cultural heritage of the island.
