SKNLP stated that this year the theme focuses on the natural process, emerging green technologies, and creative, innovative thinking that can restore the world's ecosystem. Protecting and restoring the Earth is a personal responsibility.
"We implore all persons to join in the efforts to push towards a better world by protecting the environment we depend so much on. There is a dire need to shift towards a sustainable economy that benefits both people and nature."
Quoting the Earth Day Organization, SKNLP stated that "Earth Day aims" to build the world's largest environmental movement to drive transformative change for people and the planet. The movement's mission is "to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide." "In this way, the theme rejects the notion that mitigation or adaptation are the only ways to address climate change. It is up to each and every one of us to Restore Our Earth not just because we care about the natural world but because we live on it. We all need a healthy Earth to support our jobs, livelihoods, health & survival, and happiness. A healthy planet is not an option — it is a necessity," St Kitts and Nevis Labour party stated.SKNLP stated that we live in a beautiful serene natural paradise, and we must as a people do our part personally and collectively to safeguard our sweet St. Kitts and Nevis. Be kind to our environment, clean up our spaces, plant a tree, protect our wildlife, value nature.
