GOG shares updates on Grenada Education Enhancement Project Phase II

According to the update by the Government of Grenada (GOG), invitation for bids the GOG has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in an amount equivalent to the US $16,544,000 towards the cost of the Grenada Education Enhancement Project Phase II, intends to apply a portion of proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under this contract.
CDB would provide financial assistance at the request of the Government of Grenada. The payments would be subjected to the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement.
The project has been implemented by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Information, and Ministry of Human Resource.
The construction work would include:
1. The Construction of a new three-story building that will contain eleven classrooms, multi- science facilities and administrative accommodations.
2. External Works comprising of pavement and parking area, site drainage, perimeter fencing, road repairs and wastewater treatment facilities.
3. MEP Installation including Electrical, Plumbing, Air Conditioning, Fire Protection and Gas Installation.
The bids would be rejected or selected by the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development and Religious Affairs and to reject all the bids, at any time prior to award of contract, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected prospective bidder(s) or any obligation to inform the affected prospective bidder(s) of the grounds for the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development; Religious Affairs action.
According to the government, the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development, Religious Affairs will not defray any costs incurred by any bidder in the preparation of bids.
As per the publication on CDB’s website, Eligible bidders, procedures for Projects Financed by CDB (January 2021) will be required to submit full qualification information with their bids establishing their eligibility to bid and qualification to perform the contract if the bid is accepted.Latest
