Evolving role of MMCE as infrastructure leader with a bigger vision

Dominica: Montreal management Consultants Establishment (MMCE) made its significant presence in terms of housing in Caribbean countries.

Hundreds of families in the Commonwealth of Dominica received climate-resilient houses, which were entirely funded by the government and built by MMCE.

“The Government of Dominica over the years in its purpose to transform the house stock of our people, with modern, resilient housing in partnership with Montreal Management Company Est. (MMCE) is here to confirm and deliver on our promise,” Housing Minister Reginald Austrie said in a cabinet statement.

According to Austrie, this community comprises 3-bedroom, 2-bedroom units which are constructed with concrete roof and building and which also contain solar water heaters and finished roof coverings providing comprehensive safety from any natural calamity.

“Each unit comes finished with kitchen and bath installation,” Austrie stated.

In testimony of its remarkable work of MMCE, Citizens of Dominica from all around the island assembled at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium to witness the historic signing of a contractual agreement among the Government of Dominica and the Montreal management Consultants Establishment (MMCE) for the commencement of Dominica's International Airport.

Notably, MMCE has built houses for those who were displaced because the government had to acquire the land for the construction of new international airport.

In the ceremony, the Prime Minister of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit said, "It is said that nothing occurs before its time, well now is Dominica’s time. We have waited, we have been patient, and we have outlined, and we are now on the cusp of making the dream of all country people into a reality. When we were dealt a destructive blow by Hurricane Maria in 2017, and we surveyed the damage and destruction all over us, who would have thought then that less than 4 years later, we would be observing the signing of an agreement to undertake the single largest infrastructure project that this Dominica has ever witnessed."

MMCE have shown their excellent construction skills while constructing climate-resilient homes.

Witnessing that historical event, CEO of Montreal Management Consultants Establishment Ltd., Dr. Anthony Haiden, said that they are using only the best construction practices will be used in the building of the airport and the house of the people who have displaced due to the construction of the airport.

MMCE workers, with their extraordinary skills and hard work trying to build not only Dominica but the Caribbean too.

MMCE has constructed more than one thousand beautiful, climate-resilient houses in Dominica.

Moreover, beneficiaries of those householders talking to WIC News said :

"The houses which were allocated to us are marvellous, earlier during the storms we have to face many difficulties. Sometimes our house used to flood with water during heavy rain."

House is considered as the dream for many; people used to invest their whole life money into it and giving homes to the people is mostly the primary agenda for many governments.

Dominica's prime minister, who is known for his commitment to the people, and fulfilling houses to the people, assist him in building more faith in him and democracy as he has been chosen by the government through democratic practices.

Now, people don't have to worry about the weather conditions as they have a strong foundation in their homes, because of that they can face all kinds of weather conditions.

Apart from the weather, they are pretty safe from criminal activities in their homes; no one can enter their homes without their permission.

With the permanent settlement, they can spend their money in the other fields, like spending their own money on child education and buying other necessary items. So these leads to an increased boost in the economy of the country too.
