Grenada records 6 COVID-19 related deaths in a single-day
Grenada recorded seven coronavirus related deaths in a single day. The health officials reported that there are now 14 total virus-related deaths in the country. The recent deceased includes patients from 26 to 85-year-olds.

Health officials confirmed that most were unvaccinated and continue to encourage locals to be vaccinated. At the same time, there are still 20 hospitalized patients who have tested positive for the virus. A few are said to be in critical condition.

Grenada experienced a surge in coronavirus cases at the end of August 2021.

On Wednesday, the country also recorded 135 new cases of coronavirus, while there are a total of 1406 active cases.

As per the data of the ministry of health Grenada, 28,178 people received the first dose of the vaccine, while 19,590 were fully vaccinated against the COVID-19.

The authorities said 28.4% of the population have received one or two shots of the vaccine.

The authorities advised more people to receive their vaccines, as it reduces severe virus-related illnesses.

Authorities continue to urge people to follow the basic health guidelines, including wearing face masks, maintaining social distancing, sanitizing hands.
