PM Roosevelt Skerrit of Dominica lands in Rwanda to participate in CHOGM 2022
Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, on Wednesday evening to participate in the CHOGM 2022.

Prime Minister Skerrit is accompanied by Dr Kenneth Darroux- Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and Diaspora Relations, Vince Henderson- Minister for Planning, Economic Development, Climate Resilience, Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy, Janet Charles- High Commissioner of the Commonwealth of Dominica to the United Kingdom and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs- Barbara Dailey.Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall also reached Rwanda to participate in the meeting on Tuesday evening. The 2022 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which is being held in Kigali, Rwanda, marks the sixth time an African nation has hosted the event. Leaders from 54 countries are gathering to participate in the summit.The official Retreat for leaders as part of the summit will take place at the Intare Conference Arena on Saturday, 25 June, where the heads of government meet privately to discuss cooperation on international and Commonwealth prerogatives.Other Caribbean leaders including Prime Minister Gaston Browne of Antigua and Barbuda, Andrew Holness of Jamaica are also participating in the summit. Besides this, Rwandan President Paul Kagame will succeed UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson as chair-in-office of the Commonwealth until the next CHOGM.
