Dominica records 41 new cases of COVID-19
Dominica recorded 41 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday. The Ministry of Health, reported that 17 were also discharged.

Roseau, Dominica: Dominica recorded 41 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday. The Ministry of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment reported that around 17 individuals were discharged from various medical facilities islandwide.
As per reports, there are currently 464 active coronavirus cases in Dominica. The coronavirus related deaths also rose to 32, with mainly unvaccinated individuals succumbing to pneumonia-like illness.
The health ministry reported that around 4287 people have recovered from coronavirus since 2020, and the virus load has started to decline in Dominica.
The recent statistics showed that the country recorded 4783 cases of coronavirus since the first patient was detected in March 2021. However, the major outbreak happened in July 2021, when hundreds of people attended a Lot of events in Pottersville, leading to a major increase.
The vaccination drive-in Dominica is now running at a decent pace. The government data showed that 27957 individuals were vaccinated with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines, while around 25206 received the second dose.
Currently, Dominica is using three vaccines to vaccinate people, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, and Pfizer. The government is also vaccinated school students over 12 years with the FDA approved Pfizer vaccine.
