Reports Monday morning that one of the Chinese restaurants at Baker's Corner in Basseterre was robbed on Sunday night.

According to credible reports, three armed and masked men entered the Chinese Restaurant located in the building that once housed Radio One.

It is not immediately known if the robbers took cash, if bullets were discharged or employees or patrons were injured.

One eyewitness said police were on the scene after 10 pm and questioned the employees and persons in the area.

The armed robbery comes on the heels of two armed robberies in Nevis last week.

Police said that on Saturday 6th April an armed and masked man held up a bar in Clay Ghaut, demanded money and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. No one was injured.

On Friday 5th April, three armed and masked men robbed an elderly Brazziers resident in Nevis of an undisclosed sum of money. Shots were fired and the victim was treated at Nevis' Alexandra Hospital and discharged.
