Two people drown in Grenada – reports

Two people drowned in Grenada over the weekend, according to reports coming out of the country.

Citing “unconfirmed” sources, NOW Grenada reported that a “well-known businessman in the Happy Hill area” drowned after getting into difficult while in Flamingo Bay.

The incident is understood to have happened around 4pm yesterday.

The death came just hours after a body was removed from the waters beside La Sagesse.

In both cases, the pair were pronounced dead at the scene.

No names have been released by authorities.
