Trinidad: With the arrival of Jewel of the Seas, Trinidad welcomed its first cruise call for 2024 to the Port of Spain on Wednesday

Port of Spain, Trinidad: With the arrival of Jewel of the Seas, Trinidad welcomed its first cruise for 2024 to the Port of Spain on Wednesday. The Cruise welcomed 2,617 visitors from 29 countries.
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts in Trinidad and Tobago welcomed the Cruise with open hearts. The Ministry also hosted a welcome ceremony featuring several cultural performances, reflecting the nation's cultural heritage.Following their arrival, the visitors were greeted with quayside entertainment. As per the information, out of these cruisers on board, 2400 passengers were from the United States.
In addition, Over 400 visitors enjoyed pre-packaged tours of crucial tourist attractions throughout Trinidad. Some toured the Capital City, followed by trips to Maracas Beach and Mt. St Benedict.While others enjoyed eco-experiences like hiking to the Maracas Waterfall, kayaking on the Caroni River, cruising through the Caroni Bird Sanctuary, and relishing the Paramin 4x4 adventure. A total of 27 maxi taxis transported visitors to the various sites.
Further, With this arrival, the Jewel of the Seas will continue to dock at the Port of Port of Spain every Tuesday for the 2023-2024 cruise season.
Notably, this will be a 7-night cruise on RCL's Jewel of the Seas, which began in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Cruise began its journey on December 30, 2023. The Cruise will conclude its journey on February 10, 2023, and will comprise a warm experience of white sandy beaches of the Caribbean Region.

About Jewel of the Seas
Royal Caribbean operates the Radiance class cruise Ship. The ship was completed in the spring of 2004, with her maiden voyage in May. Besides the Caribbean, the Cruise generally cruised from Rome, Italy, to the Mediterranean Sea during its initial stages in 2016.
After a period, the Cruise re-commenced its journey in 2019 from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean Sea. By the end of 2019, the Cruise had been homeported in Dubai and operated cruises within the Persian Gulf.
