Teenager charged over St Lucia Christmas murder
Randy Augustine died in hospital
Police in St Lucia have charged a 19-year-old man with murder following the death of a man attacked on Christmas Day.
Fond St Jacques resident Randy Augustine was discovered with a wound to his head by officers after they received reports of an altercation between two men.
He was taken to the Etangs Wellness Centre before being transferred to Victoria Hospital.
He died there on 28 December. A post-mortem recorded that the death was due to “traumatic head injury”.
Lance Jade St Brice, of Delcer, Choiseul, has been charged in relation to the death.
The slaying was the 57th that St Lucia recorded in 2017.
