St Kitts: Appeal Court to deal with 46 matters during next sitting

Two panels of three appeal court judges will tackle the matters between January 29 and February 1

Some 46 matters will come before The Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal during a one-week sitting in Basseterre next week.

Two panels of three appeal court judges will tackle the matters between January 29 and February 1 at the Sir Lee Llewellyn Moore Judicial and Legal Services Complex.

According to the Cause List finalised on December 18, 2018 and posted on the Court's website, the Appeal Court judges will deal with five applications/motions; one High Court criminal appeal against sentence; two High Court criminal appeals against conviction; eight High Court civil appeals; two Magisterial criminal appeals against sentence; three Magisterial appeals against conviction and six Magisterial civil appeals.

The Appeal Court Judges will also deal with status hearings on eight High Court criminal appeals; six Magisterial civil appeals; six High Court civil appeals and two Magisterial civil appeals.
