St Kitts and Nevis to ease COVID-19 restrictions from Feb 12

With the world stepping ahead to get back to normalcy, the twin-island nation has also relaxed the restrictions on mass events that are going to effect February 12, 2022.
Meanwhile, PM Dr Timothy Harris, while addressing the people of St Kitts and Nevis, said, "On the advice of health experts and the NEOC, the Cabinet has just today (February 10, 2022) approved the recommendation to relax restrictions on mass events that affect the entertainment and sporting communities, and We shall do so this Saturday, February 12, 2022."PM Harris added, "In other words, we have removed restrictions on mass events related or being organised by the entertainment and sporting communities and sectors as of this Saturday, February 12. We urge everyone to be responsible and, of course, to comply with any direction of the police."
Earlier on December 1, 2021, the previous restrictions included that patrons need to show proof of being fully vaccinated before taking entry into mass events. Only fully vaccinated people will be allowed to take the admission into the events.""The persons attending events were asked to continue to adhere to the COVID-19 prevention measures by maintaining a good hygiene and sanitation behaviour and the continuation of wearing face masks."
The Superintendent of Police Henry has added that, "We have to proceed with caution to minimize the risk of illness."
As of February 12, 2022, the twin-island has recorded 5495 of a total number of confirmed cases.
