UNDP to get Dominica Award of Honour on Independence Day
The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica will present Meritorious Service Awards to individuals and groups on November 03.
The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica will present Meritorious Service Awards to individuals and groups on November 03 as part of activities to mark Dominica's 43rd Anniversary of Independence.This year, the United Nations Development Programme will receive the country's highest award, the Dominica Award of Honour. Her Excellency Loren Bannis Roberts, Mr Paul Ainsley Green and the Maria Holder Memorial Trust will receive the Sisserou Award of Honour.
Mrs Rosemund Edwards, Mrs Regina Joseph, Mr Hasselt Williams and the COVID-19 Response Team-Health, Police, Fire and Ambulance, the Dominica Air & Seaport Authority (DASPA) and Customs- will receive the Meritorious Award.
Mr Kelvin Francis, Mrs Lorana Jno Baptiste, Mr Oliver St. John, Mr Peterson Bardouille, and Mr Richard Letang will receive the Service Medal of Honour; and Mrs Veronica Cuffy, Mr Anthony Richards, Mr Vivian Thomas, and Mr Charles Richards will receive the LongService Award.The awards will be handed out on Wednesday, November 03, 2021, at the Independence Day ceremony to be held at the Conference Center of the State House from 3:00 p.m.
