PM Allen Chastanet makes first public appearance after finishing 14-day quarantine

Castries, St Lucia: Prime Minister of St Lucia Allen Chastanet has completed fourteen days of isolation after returning from Miami, United States. He shared the information on his Facebook page. He stated that the conclusion of the quarantine period allowed him to join the Desruisseaux Youth and Sports Council as they held their inaugural Youth and Sports Awards Ceremony. "Throughout the evening, we recognized the contributions of various youth of the community who are succeeding in their various fields of endeavour, all whilst contributing to the constituency's development," stated Prime Minister Allen Chastanet. Prime Minister stated that he was extremely happy and encouraged to see that the majority of award winners were young men while generally it is heard and seen successes of the young women in St Lucian society. St Lucian Prime Minister congratulated Desruisseaux youth and stated he is proud of them. This was Prime Minister's first visit after returning from Miami fourteen days ago. He had gone to the United States after getting fully vaccinated for four days. In his visit to the US, Prime Minister held several meetings with cruise-ships officials as the country awaits recommencement of its tourism sector in upcoming months. After his return, PM Chastanet announced that a home cruise port will be build in the south of the island.
