Bahamas: American tourist dies after he drowned during diving adventure

As per reports, an American tourist died after he drowned while on a diving adventure in Exuma, Bahamas. The tragedy comes after three tourists died earlier this month at the Sandals Emerald Bay resort.

Officers were notified that an adult man was taken into a local marina unresponsive during a diving adventure, according to the police report.

"Officers were dispatched, and when they arrived at the docking place, they were escorted to a vessel, where they were shown the body of an unresponsive male. The victim was evaluated by a local doctor, and after the examination, he was confirmed dead," according to the police statement.

Initial investigations show that a group of ten persons went on a diving adventure about 9 a.m., according to police.

"A short time later, while at the dive location in the area of Rolleville, Exuma," the statement read. The expedition's initial goal was to reach a specific depth. When the group arrives at an initial designated depth during the dive. One of the instructors signalled for a response from the divers.

"However, because the instructor did not receive the required signal from the diver, the instructor became concerned about the victim. When the instructor arrived at the victim's location, he realised that he was not entirely conscious.
