Two unvaccinated females lose their battle with COVID-19 in Antigua on Wednesday
The Ministry of Health Antigua and Barbuda declared that the country recorded two additional coronavirus related deaths on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Health Antigua and Barbuda declared that the country recorded two additional coronavirus related deaths on Wednesday. The authorities said both patients were females and died during treatment at. the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre (SLBMC).
Dr. Albert Duncan Director of Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre stated both patients were recieving their COVID-19 treatment, and died due to complications. As per Dr Duncan, the women had pre-existing medical conditions and were unvaccinated against the coronavirus.
The indentity of the patients was not revealed by the authorities, however it was told that one was 61-year-old while the other was 62-year-old.
Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre (SLBMC) gave out condolences to their families and said, "Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patient’s families and loved ones at this difficult time."The officials of SLBMC advised the people to follow important safety measures and said the protocols lower the spread of COVID-19. They encouraged all eligible persons to get their vaccines, adding that the doses lowers the risk of catching severe virus-related illness.
