William Connor Primary wins Basseterre Zone Championship, Samal Duggins congratulates

St Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Sports Samal Duggins extended a huge congratulations to Dr William Connor Primary on being the Basseterre Zone Championship champions for the second time. The team secured 22 gold, 15 silver and nine bronze to win this championship. In a post through Facebook, Minister Duggins said, "Congratulations to Dr. William Connor Primary for being back-to-back champions of the Basseterre Zone Championship! You have shown that your origin is indeed Champsville!" Samal Duggins also congratulated Timothy Mortin, who has been recognized for his longstanding contribution to athletics at Beach Allen Primary School and the entire Basseterre Zone. "Therefore, on behalf of the Department of Sports and the entire athletic fraternity, thank you Mr. Morton for your invaluable contribution," he outlined.

He added that as the Minister of Sports, he firmly believes in giving flowers while alive and added, "It's important for us to acknowledge the value, the worth, and the impact people have, especially on the lives of our youths."

The Sports Minister also congratulated other schools which participated. He said, "Special thanks to all the participating schools for making this championship an exhilarating experience! The energy from the supporters was electric! The sports term is surely off to a great start!"

Several other ministers, including Konris Maynard and Kenneth Douglas, also congratulated the team for their exceptional performance.

At the same time, Minister Maynard noted, "BIG Congrats to the Dr. William Connor Primary School for a massive showing at the Basseterre Zone Public Primary School Championships."

The William Connor Primary was followed by Beach Allen Primary School, which received seven gold, 12 silver, and seven bronze.

The third and fourth positions have been secured by Tucker Clarke Primary and Irishtown Primary, respectively. Tucker Clarke won seven gold, 11 silver and ten bronze, while Irishtown got four gold, five silver and 15 bronze.
